Why don't you ask your fellow collegues to..

..use the FindFreetime in their Calendar Invites, while trying to find Available meeting times ?
This has the same purpose.
And to use this, if users are carrying their mailfile on laptops (thru Replication) - every user will have to allow the local Freetime to replicate to the server:
